2008 LALIFF Press Conference
On September 3rd LALIFF director Marlene Dermer introduced the upcoming schedule for the 2008 LA Latino International Film festival along with the announcement of this years Gabi Lifetime Achievement Award to GUSTAVO SANTAOLALLA
Santaolalla is credited with creating sound tracks and composing songs and scores for Amores Perros ,21 Grams and the Motorcycle Diaries as well as his Academy Award winning score for Broke back Mountain .
A lavish brunch and enthusiastic volunteers greeted the press ,the sponsors , and filmmakers .
Beau Bridges was on hand to greet all above as he was filling in for Edward James Olmos who was on location.
